The ACR OLAS Float-On is a buoyant wearable crew tracker designed to enhance safety for crew members in maritime environments. Crafted from durable plastic, the ACR OLAS Float-On is waterproof (IP67) and features an LED flashlight with adjustable low, medium, and high settings. The ACR OLAS technology detects a break in its ‘virtual tether’ to the Float-On within 8 seconds of a transmitter going missing. When this occurs, the connected mobile phone sounds an alarm and records the precise latitude and longitude of the incident using the devices GPS. This ensures quick and accurate location tracking for effective MOB recovery.

The ACR OLAS Free Mobile App enhances the functionality of the Float-On, allowing users to track up to six different OLAS transmitters with a single phone or tablet. Each transmitter can be monitored by an unlimited number of devices, providing flexibility and convenience. An additional safety feature is the automatic activation of the strobe light, which is triggered when the transmitter’s integrated water sensors detect water contact for six seconds. The high-power strobe light can flash once every second for up to 20 hours and is visible from up to 3 nautical miles away, making it an essential tool for low-light rescues.
